I learned this evening that Chris, in Ashtabula, has seen our blog. I want to say Hello to him and his family ... Grandmother Launa; his Mom & Dad ... Esther & Ray; Aunt Brenda & Uncle Tom; Aunt Joyce & Uncle Joe in Florida.

Chris, please let your family know we miss them and think of them often. Also, if you or your folks have any pictures you'd like to see posted, please either email them to me at cmoore2659@wowway.com; or mail them ... your Aunt Brenda has my address. I'll scan what you send and then return them to you.

That holds true for any family member who reads this. The older I get the more I realize we need to leave information for our children and grandchildren ... for nieces, nephews and their families. We have a heritage and we need to share it with one another.

I've been privileged to be in this family for 41 years now. Not only am I thankful for my husband Clyde, but for each of his relatives who have made me feel welcomed and a part of who they are. I remember Joyce, Brenda & Launa and the wonderful times I spent with them. I remember Uncle Jr & Aunt Shirleen welcoming me as though they had known me for years. Uncle Roy & Aunt Susie ... Uncle Hurshel & Aunt Dale ... Bill & Jeanette ... Minus & Gurlie ... Aunt Pal & Uncle Tommy. I knew Uncle Domer & Aunt Leone before I met Clyde and my relationship with Cill made her feel like my sister. I was at their home as much as I was at my home way back then. Or it seemed that way at the time.

Every person in this family has a story to tell and you're invited to share that with us if you'd like to. Please email or write, or call and I'll be happy to add your stories and pictures and memories to this family site.

May the good and gracious Lord bless and keep each one of you. Thanks for reading and for looking at the pictures. Thanks again Chris, for sharing this with your Grandma.

Love to you all,
Louise Moore

Vernis Moore, Jr

JR is Clyde's brother ... his given name is Vernis Moore, Jr., but we all call him JR. He's the third child of Vernis Moore & Oma Elliott Moore. He lives in Ohio and has two daughters ... Dawn Marie and Samantha. The pictures below are of JR when he was a little boy.

If you know who all these children are, please leave a comment and let me know. I know Glenda Faye is in the back, center; Clyde Moore & Kenny Elliott are on the right, but I'm not sure who the others are.

Uncle Hurshel was one of the kindest men I've ever met. In all the years I was graced to know him, I never heard him speak a bad word about anyone. And I never heard him complain, even when he was ill. I remember talking with him one evening on the phone and when I asked how he was, he said he was just fine. I asked if he'd tell me if he wasn't and he said "No, probably not. Nobody really wants to hear about your troubles, so I keep 'em to myself." Then he laughed. I loved to hear him talk and I loved to hear him laugh. What an honor to have known this man and his family.

I never had the privilege of meeting this giant of a man but Clyde and Oma have repeatedly told me over the years that I would have loved him. From the stories I've been blessed to hear, I'm sure that's true. One consolation I have is that I shall meet him one day in heaven and happily introduce myself to him as the wife of his grandson Clyde. Perhaps he already knows who I am.

Grandpa Bud & Uncle Jr. I'm not sure who the baby is. If anyone knows, leave the information in the comment section of this post or send it to my email address and I'll add the name.

This was the old home place of Bud & Darkie

Hi Family. This is a picture of Oma Elliott Moore and her brother Curt Elliott. I am doing this blog so that family members, no matter where they are, can look at older pictures and hopefully add new ones. If you have a photograph or some family history you'd like to add, please leave a comment or email me at cmoore2659@wowway.com I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks and may God bless,
Louise
